Privacy Policy

We ask for your details for one reason: so a real person can get back to you about your enquiry. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what happens to it.

01Who we are

Who we are

Get Virtual Work is a product and service brand of Zealight Innovation Labs Limited, a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Zealight Innovation Labs Limited is the legal and operating company behind this website and the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy:

02What we collect

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus the minimum technical data needed to keep the site secure. We do not buy data about you, and we do not track you around the web.

When you use the simple contact form, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, what your message is about, and the message itself.

Technical and security data. Like almost every website, our server records IP addresses and request details in standard logs, and we use IP-based rate-limiting and spam-filtering records to protect the forms from abuse. These records are kept briefly and used only for security.

Cookies and tracking. By default this site sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party trackers. The only cookie is a functional session cookie used to secure form submissions. If we ever enable analytics, it will be switched on only after you explicitly accept it via a consent banner — declining will be just as easy as accepting, and your choice will be remembered.

03Legal basis

Why we use your information, and the legal basis

We do not use your enquiry details for marketing emails. The confirmation email you receive after submitting is transactional — it exists because you asked us to get in touch. We will not add you to a newsletter or nurture sequence without asking you separately.

04Consent

Consent — how it works

05Storage & security

How we store and protect your information

06Retention

How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only as long as the conversation it supports:

If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we anonymize your record on request rather than waiting for these windows (see Your rights).

07Sharing

Who we share your information with

We share personal data only where it is genuinely needed:

That’s the full list. We do not share your details with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing.

08International transfers

International transfers

We work with clients in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and other markets. If you contact us from outside Nigeria, your information will be processed in Nigeria and stored on our hosting provider’s servers, which may be located in another country. Wherever your data is processed, it is protected by the same safeguards described in this policy — encrypted transport, restricted access, and the retention limits above — regardless of where you are contacting us from.

09Your rights

Your rights

Wherever you are, we aim to honor the same core rights over your data:

To exercise any of these, email hello@getvirtual.work with your enquiry reference number if you have one. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm your identity first — that check protects your data, not slows you down.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Nigeria, that is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). If you are in the UK or the EU, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

10Children

Children

This website and our services are aimed at businesses and professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, email hello@getvirtual.work and we will remove it.

11Changes

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for significant changes, note what changed. The consent wording on our forms is versioned, so the terms you agreed to are always the terms we hold you to — not a later edit.
